It has been quite a while since we have been operating from our Sector-6, Noida based office. Good thing about this office was that it is almost on Noida-Delhi border and saves lot of travel time for visits outside of Noida. We recently moved into training domain and became Redhat authorized training partner to provide Linux trainings. After this decision, we took a look at the place where we could build a decent training hall. Building had some structural issues and pillars in between which made it difficult to build a good training hall. We discussed internally and decided to have another building where we could build a nice and big training hall.

After doing lot of searches in different sectors in Noida, we finally found a nice building in Sector-63, Noida. Though this building is far from Noida-Delhi border but its merely 200meters away from National Highway 24 having good connectivity using public transport and easily accessible food courts and malls. Parking is now a days biggest problem in almost every industrial areas but we found ourselves lucky to have a park facing place having huge parking space opposite to the building.

Floor has got two Director’s rooms, three meeting rooms and a big training hall apart from the usual seating area. Few of the pictures of our new facilities are available below, these pictures were shot on the inaugural day.

Financial year is about to close and we were just thinking on the quality of resources we hire for our company. Our core strength lies in UNIX operating system where we do lot of open source consulting, open source solution customization and deployments for our customers. Apart from this, we also manage the server infrastructure of our customers either under remote infrastructure management model or onsite (known as facility management services). Almost all of our technical resources are RHCE (Redhat Certified Engineer) certified. But while hiring RHCE professionals, we have to burn the midnight oil in finding the right resource from so many candidates. Most of the candidates get trained from the training institutes where learning is limited to either books or certificates. With the mission to achieve service excellence, we had a round table discussion within organization to think what could be done to find quality resources in RHCE domain.

After lot of brainstorming we came across an agreement to sign up for partnership with Redhat and become their authorized training partner and examination centre. Idea is to impart best-of-breed training beyond the limitations of books and certifications and generate quality man power for the industry and hire the best candidates on our payroll. On the one side, it reduces the pain of interviewing dozens of candidates and nothing and other side would be an added revenue source. It is always wise to hire someone who is trained by our Linux Trainers, respond actively in the trainings and completes the assignments on time with accuracy.

Everyone was agreed on this and there was another debate on getting the quality trainers. We started the trainings to be different than other Linux training institutes by offering out-of-the-box trainings to the participants. By hiring typical trainers, we would not be able to differentiate ourselves from other training companies. We thereon decided to use our existing RHCE certified consultants who are managing the production Linux servers for our clients. It would be good for the students to get trained from someone who is already working on the live environment than getting trained from a book follower trainer carrying a single motive to have all the participants certified with RHCE.

Finally, everyone was convinced with the strategy and we got enrolled with Redhat as their authorized training partner and examination centre with an objective of imparting quality Linux trainings and providing real industry experience to the participants.
